The difference between Acupuncture and Dry Needling? Acupuncture is an ancient form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), in which different locations of the body known as acupuncture points, correspond with various diagnoses, symptoms and organs. TCM uses acupuncture to stimulate these specific points for certain duration of time, leading to a systemic change in the corresponding area. Similarly Dry Needling works to make a change however is targeting the muscle directly by the needle stimulating the muscle and thus providing a “reset” to that muscle. Dry Needling is also used to increase muscle function and speed up recovery.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for ICBC claims and have all relevant information on hand (e.g. claim number). This Service is for ICBC claims only and both physiotherapy and physiotherapist-administered active rehab are offered.
